The Wagner Red Raiders traveled to Avon Monday, May 13th for another match-up with the Pirates. Wagner had the lead for the first few innings and out hit Avon 10-5, but was unable to hold on and seal the win.

Mara Wright started in the circle for the Red Raiders pitching two and one-third innings, walking four. Hannah Holzbauer pitched three innings in relief for Wagner, striking out four and walking five. Braxton Nedved finished the last few batters striking out one.

Lydia Yost led the Red Raiders with four hits, contributing two singles, two doubles, and one stolen base. Ravyn Medricky collected a solid three hits, two singles, one double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Hannah Holzbauer added a nice single and double on the night and Brooklin Nielsen added a single and a RBI.

Libby Kotab drew two walks, Braxton Nedved drew a walk

and was hit by a pitch, and Brylie Link added a RBI.

The Red Raiders played some really good competitive defense and had nice hard hits, but were unable to hit the gaps. The team played together and fought all seven innings.
