The Wagner Red Raiders traveled to Armour on Tuesday night to play for the LMVC Conference championship against the TDA Nighthawks. Wagner started off shooting the ball well and took a 21-14 lead after the first period. The Red Raiders extended their lead by 4 in the second quarter outscoring TDA 18-14 in the period, Wagner took a 39-28 lead into half time. TDA played lock down defense in the third quarter holding Wagner to just 2 points, outscoring Wagner 15-2 and led 43-41 heading into the fourth period. Wagner fought back, with 4.7 seconds left Preston McFayden hit a 3 pointer to send the game into overtime. TDA outscored Wagner in OT 8-4 and won the game 65-61. Wagner was led by Parker Petry who scored 14 points, Ted Slaba added 13, Matt Link scored 8, Chris Nelson and Preston McFayden each scored 7, Carter Cournoyer 6, Glenn Cournoyer 4 and Joey Cournoyer 2. Wagner is now 6-9 on the year.
