On Monday May 1st, the Wagner Red Raiders hosted the Hanson Beavers for a double header. Hanson opened up the scoring in the first game, tallying two runs in the first inning, but Wagner answered with two when Sydney Cournoyer singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

The Red Raiders then pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. An error by the Beavers scored one and a single by Emma Yost on a 2-1 count, scored two.

Wagner notched five runs in the third inning with RBIs from Brylie Link, Libby Kotab, and Lydia Yost.

S. Cournoyer pitched the first two innings for Wagner allowing four runs on two hits, striking out two. L. Yost pitched the remaining 3 innings surrendering two runs in three hits, striking out seven.

A couple triples were recorded by L. Yost and Ravyn Medricky, as well as a pair of doubles from L. Yost and B. Link. Two singles from E. Yost and one a piece from B. Link and S. Cournoyer aided in the win as well.

The Wagner Red Raiders fell behind early in game two and couldn’t come back in a 12-6 loss to the Beavers.

The Red Raiders collected six hits in the game and were led by Braxton Nedved and Emma Yost. Nedved and Yost each tallied a double and single a piece. Libby Kotab recorded a double and Ravyn Medricky a single.

Lydia Yost was in the circle for the Red Raiders, walking three and striking out five.

The Wagner Red Raiders will host Bon Homme and Winner in a triangular starting at 1:30pm on May 8th.
