Wagner Red Raiders football team hosted the Trappers of Jim River last Friday night. The Trappers came away with a 19-0 victory. Inconsistencies in our play are hindering our chances. We have a great throw and catch to set us up on the opponents 2-yard line, but penalty takes us back to mid-field. Gap responsibilities in our defense, is to be desired. Sometimes it looks picture perfect, and we stop the opponent, other times we lose our gap, and they crack off a huge run and a new set of downs.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Raiders had 95 yards rushing and a total of 150 yards on the night. Jhett had some nice runs on the night, we just need to stick with it. When we do throw the ball, we must start coming down with the ball, so we can get a new set of downs.

Defensively, we had 15 players recording tackles on the evening. The Raiders were led by Chris Nelson with 11 tackles on the night. Jace Kuhlman added 8 tackles and two were TFLs. Other Raiders contributing on defense were Hunter Lhotak (6) Glenn Cournoyer (5) Parker Petry (5 and sack) Karstyn Lhotak (5) Bain Kuhlman (4) Riley Roberts (4).

The Raiders will host MVP for the final home game of the regular season.
