The Lady Raiders hosted the Gregory Spikers on Thursday, September 11th. Wagner walked away with a clean sweep with scores of 25-22, 25-11 and 25-20.
Junior Ravyn Medricky led all attackers with 12 kills, Brianna Fuchs and Hannah Holzbauer each had 6 and Ashlyn Koupal added 4. Setter Braxton Nedved distributed the ball well and racked up 23 assists in the win. Senior libero Libby Kotab scrambled after 13 digs, Medricky picked up 10, Holzbauer added 9, and Nedved had 7. Behind the service line Nedved tallied 15 points/5 aces, Brylie Link added 9 points/3 aces, and Holzbauer had 8 points/3 aces. Link also had 1 solo block on the night.
The JV team picked up another nice win with scores of 25-13 and 25-13. Outside hitters Adara Hopkins and Camry Link had 4 and 3 kills in the match. Middle hitters Ashtyn Bruguier and Mateya Bruguier each had 2. Setters Kylin Insko and Mila Hopkins each dished out 6 assists in the win. In the back court A. Hopkins and Hayden Knudsen each picked up 5 digs. M. Bruguier led all servers earning 9 points/3 aces, while C. Link added 7 points/4 aces, and Insko added 4 points/2 aces.
The C team suffered a loss with scores of 8-25 and 19-25. Freshmen Taelyn Knebel and Ty’Shay Medicine Bear threw down 5 and 4 kills in the match. Emma Turner tallied 6 assists on the night. Ava Orozco led the defense with 8 digs, Peytyn Wiechmann added 7, and Turner had 5. Tegan Langdeau served 3 points/1 ace in the match.
