RAIDERS CLAIM CONFERENCE TITLES FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

By
Coach Michael Koupal

The Lady Raiders outright won the LMVC Conference for the third consecutive year going undefeated 5-0 and placing 4 players on the All-Conference Team upon voting by conference coaches. Macy Koupal and Lydia Yost are 3-time LMVC all-conference players. Ashlyn Koupal would also return as a 2-time LMVC all-conference player while Braxton Nedved would make her first appearance.

In the SESD conference Wagner would be Co-Champs with Parkston and Mt. Vernon Plankinton where all three teams would finish 6-1 in the conference. This would also be the 3rd consecutive year that the Raiders would finish as Champs or share the top spot in the conference. Macy Koupal would be voted 1st team by conference coaches and this would be Macy’s 4th time being voted as a SESD all-conference player. Macy would finish 3rd in scoring, 2nd in total field goal percentage, 1st in 3 point field goal percentage, 2nd in free throw percentage, and 1st in assists. Lydia Yost would make her first appearance as an all-conference player on the 3rd team. Lydia would finish 2nd in assists, and place herself in the top 10 in total field goal percentage, 3 point field goal percentage, free throw percentage, steals, and blocks. Ashlyn Koupal would make her 3rd consecutive appearance as an SESD all-conference player and this year she would be the MVP of the conference. She would lead the conference in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, and blocks.

Macy Koupal and Aubrey Medricky would also be recognized as All-State Academic student athletes!

Congratulations to all of our players on a successful season! It may not have ended the way we would have liked but there was a lot of growth from our kids from the beginning of the season to the end. All these academic and athletic honors are testaments to our players work ethic and dedication to our program and school.
