HEBREWS 12:1 'Where foreseeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us set aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.'(KJV) As I looked into this Scripture I saw two very interesting words-- one is 'let us run' and the other 'the race'.

These words in this Scripture made me think that we only have a short time until Jesus Comes--that we are racing against time--to win souls to Jesus.

The race has been going on for many years--it reminds me of a relay race when a runner hands off the baton to the next runner who in turn hands the baton to the next runner and this keeps on--until the short time to the finish line--and the race is won.

When a person is saved they are to take off with the baton of God's Word. and they are to pass the baton of God's Word on to the next newly saved person who then as they run the race against sin, hands off the baton of God's Word to the next newly saved person and this is to go on until the last newly saved person has the baton of God's Word carries on until the race is over the finish line and reaches the grand prize of reward in heaven for running the successful race against sin.

We must not forget that Satan is in the same race--running to defeat us, but the Grace of God slows him down and when the race is over--Satan will be the loser.

So we must realize that the race is on--so let's pick up our Bibles and keep on running with the Word of God until He calls out, 'IT IS FINISHED'.

Are you in the race or standing by the wayside just watching others run the race for God?
