Local Chamber of Commerce and their directors in Winner, Gregory, Platte and Wagner hosted meetings this past week to share information regarding the SD Coronavirus relief fund. We appreciate those who attended and shared discussions with us about the four grant programs.

My recommendation to any business, non-profit, start-up business or acute care hospital is to check out https://covid. sd.gov or call 605-937-7243 to get the information for the grant. Remember you must apply for these grants before midnight, Friday, October 23.

I was very impressed with the local accountants, bankers, economic development organizations and chamber offices who desired to help their communities. Because South Dakotans are independent flexible hard-working people most didn’t experience an income loss due to the pandemic. However, there were those that are struggling or who started up at this time and it was my desire to make sure there was help available for them.
