The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Unit #0011 will be out canvassing local businesses distributing poppies to help support military personnel. They will be out and about on May 15 and 16. They ask you to wear a poppy and honor every American who has died in the line of duty, served or serving our United States. Honor the fallen. Support the living.

Funds collected for poppy contributions go into the ALA Poppy Fund and may be used for: - The welfare of the families of veterans. - The rehabilitation of hospitalized military service personnel returning home and awaiting discharge who require treatment in service hospitals.

- The welfare of veterans, active military personnel, and the families of veterans and active military personnel where financial and medical need is evident.

- For the purpose of poppy kits and supplies used to make symbolic poppies and poppy items that will be distributed for donations to the Poppy Fund.
