The Avon Pirates traveled to Alcester on March 2 to take on Alcester/Hudson in an exciting matchup that went into overtime, with the Pirates pulling out a 63-60 victory. Zander Fathke led the Pirates with 24 points, along with 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. Al’Shamon Gunter added a strong performance with 23 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block. Dominic Doom contributed 10 points and 4 rebounds. Grayson Ratzlaff finished with 5 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal, while Cale Cooper had 1 point and 4 rebounds. Brenson Ratzlaff added 2 rebounds and 1 steal. The win improves the Pirates’ season record to 10-11.
