The 2025 SDHSAA state cross country meet took place in Huron on Saturday at Broadland Creek Golf Course. State qualifiers from Avon running in the meet were Cale Cooper, Rance Kuhlman, and Zander Fathke. As a team, the Pirate runners placed 9th in Class B boys 5000m. Individual results were as follows: Cale Cooper 28th (18:24.84); Rance Kuhlman 45th (18:51.30); Zander Fathke 79th (19:37.00).
