The Pirates played a game Friday night as they hosted Hitchcock-Tulare for their Homecoming game and took the win 32-28. The first quarter found the Pirates ahead on the scoreboard 14-6 with Aziah Meyer takingin a 29 yard run and 41 yard run. The second quarter the Pirates and Patriots each added a touchdown to the score with Paxton Bierema's 1 yard run. The third quarter's touchdown by Paxton Bierema had the score at 26-12 but the fourth quarter got interesting as the Patriots scored two touchdowns to take the lead but in the final few minutes Noah Watchorn had a 3 yard run for the touchdown to make the score 32-28 and the defense held the Patriots off the scoreboard to end the game. Aziah Meyer led the offense with 113 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. Noah Watchorn rushed for 55 yards and 1 touchdown and Paxton Bierema added a touchdown to the scoreboard. Leading the defense was Tyler Tjeerdsma with 7 tackles and 2 assists, Al'Shamon Gunter had 6 tackles and 3 assists and 2 sacks; Aziah Meyer had 5 tackles, 3 assists and a big interception; Terran Talsma had 5 tackles and 8 assists; Paxton Bierema had 4 tackles and 10 assists; Trace Pelton had 2 tackles and 1 sack; Noah Watchorn had 1 tackles and 3 assists; Landon Mudder had 1 tackle and 4 assists; Randall Powers had 1 tackles and 3 assists and Lance Odens had 1 tackle for the night.
