The Avon Community welcomes a new State Registered Daycare Center to it's residents. Pirate Prep, LLC opened it's door on January 3 ^rd .

The business is located in the old Ferrel Gas building now owned by Wyatt and Amanda Beeson. They put a lot of TLC into the outdated building to make it more efficient and kid friendly. Some of the updates include a new roof and door, sheet rock, a new furnace and AC, new flooring and some concrete work. They also added a second bathroom, a office and redid the kitchen.

Amy Beeson is the Director at Pirate Prep, LLC. She has over 12 years of childcare experience as well as 10 years experience working in the school system with kids with special needs. She also has her Associates Degree in Child Development.

In the future they are planning to grow into a group family daycare which means they can potentially have up to 20 children. They currently need to find employees to help them accomplish this vision.

When asked what she enjoys and loves about her job, Amy replied "knowing that I make a difference in these children's life. I learn as much from them as they do from me! I've always loved to be around kids and I'm so happy to be able to help out with my granddaughters!" This ties directly into their motto at Pirate Prep, LLC which is: "because THEIR life is worth MY time!"
