PHIL BAKER TO PERFORM AT 605 UNITY JAM

By
, Dana Sanderson

Phil Baker, well known for his signature style, red guitar, catchy tunes and heartfelt lyrics will be performing at the 605 Unity Jam at Wagner Lake, in Wagner, South Dakota on Sunday, June 15. He writes and performs music to help children learn something about the world around them.

Many of his songs have familiar themes like friendship and nature. Through his music, he encourages children to live their lives in an imaginative way. Many of the songs he uses include actions for the children to follow, creating a welcoming performance environment that encourages individual expression and group engagement. He incorporates rich chords, vibrant rhythms, singable melodies and diverse genres such as Brazilian samba and world folk. Baker tries to inspire the next generation of musicians and storytellers. He is a fourtime White House Easter Egg Roll performer, has appeared as a national presenter for Character Counts and has been honored by the S.D. State Legislature for his work with young people.

Your children will love his performance at the 605 Unity Jam! He will perform twice during the event and each performance will be different than the other so make plans to have your children see and be a part of both performances. He will appear at the west shelter area at 12:30 and again at 2:30 so make plans to have your children ready for a great entertaining opportunity.
