The annual election of officers of the Royal Neighbor Lodge was held Friday evening with the following results: Marie Mallory, Oracle; Goldie Hutchison, Vice Oracle, Margaret Lathrop, Past Oracle; John Lindquist, Jr., Recorder; Cara Anderson, Receiver; Cassidy, Chancellor; Mona Rhiner, Inner Sentinel; Lena Clark, Outer Sentinel; Clara Czerney, Marshall; Candus Robertson, Musician; Lulu Savage, Installing Officer.

The Senior class rings have arrived at the post office and everyone is anxious to see if they will be the ones ordered.

1951 - 70 years ago

Guess the deer hunters around here had pretty good luck during the three day season last weekend. No doubt many from here got their deer, but the ones we have heard about so far are Ray Ebsen, L. E. Schreyer, Francis Foreman, Albert Lutz, Emil Svatos, Ray Mount, Leslie Nelsen and the later's young son, Lynn Nelsen.

The Lake Andes Chamber of Commerce will entertain farmers of the community to a 7 o'clock dinner at the Rebekah Hall on Thursday, Dec. 13.

A son, Gregory Robert, was born to Dr. and Mrs. Robert Dahlberg at the Fort Randall Hospital on Nov. 23.

1961 - 60 years ago Mr. and Mrs. Red Allen, Bruce and Betty and Donnie Long were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Pesicka, winner, for dinner Saturday evening.

Three directors were re-elected at the annual meeting of the Lake Andes Farmers Co-op Company. They are vice president Paul Martinec, secretary E. R. Vesely and Vic Nelson whose terms had expired.
