The high school band contracted to play several Sunday afternoons at Rest Haven Resort beginning last Sunday. The wages will help in purchase of equipment, music, etc. for the organization.
Sioux City Livestock record: W. B. Gelreath, extensive land owners and well known feeders of Lake Andes, was on the market today with a load of heavy beefs. His offering consisted of 17 head averaging 1,358 pounds that sold for $12.75 per hundred.

Judge Beck and his reporter, Miss Pricket, held court in Tyndall Tuesday and at Yankton Wednesday.
Sunday afternoon the Lake Andes Indians walloped the Sickney team by a score of 11 to 4. The visitors worked hard, but they were out-classed on top of being unable to connect effectively with Lefty Johnson's Slabwork.

When a Fish Days Contenial Queen was selected during Lake Andes observance of the Dakota Territory centennial June 9, judges appropriately selected a lady who came ot Dakota Territory in a covered wagon. Mrs. Florence Holden, 81 has also lived in Lake Andes since three months after the town was founded.

Miss Darlene Dea Wiechmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Weichmann of WAgner, and Barry William Cole, son of Mrs. Doris Holden of Lake andes, and Jess Cole of Grants, New Mexico, were united in marriage June 11.
Miss Cheryl Jones was honored at a bridal shower on Sunday, June 27th, at the Lutheran Church.
