2015

Andes Central 7-12 band students attended a Madrigal Dinner in Sioux Falls.

ACDC Lady Thunder hosted Gregory where they took the win 42-13. Leading offense was Kennedy Muckey with 19 points, followed by Ahna VanderPol with 14.

ACDC Thunder attended Gregory Invite with Tre’zen Doren bringing home 1st place.

Free pictures with Santa at Jone’s Food Center December 16th.

Ermil Blankenhagen celebrated her 90th birthday on November 25.

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church held a coffee service for the Christmas Tea.

Theresa Matson, who organized the recent Book Fair, reported it was a success.

Susan Carda and Charlotte Houseman were named to the All-Conference Basketball team.

Dean Svatos and Kathy Hatwan, and Ann Scott and Greg Mathy announced their engagements.

Tom and Linda Jones purchased Nick’s Supermarket from Alfreda Kallas. Dave Ford was the manager.

Frank Marsalek celebrated his 88th birthday and Joe Merkwan celebrated his 85th birthday.

A meeting was held to form an ambulance service for the area.

Carol Beemer won the area Voice of Democracy contest. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Terry Carda.

Mary Lee and Jerry Novotny were united in marriage.

A preliminary meeting was held to reorganize and consolidate the Ravinia School.

Darlene Schrank received national recognition when her name appeared in the Who’s Who in Baton Twirling.

At the GF Buche Co. 2 lbs. of dates were 17¢, a pound of peanut brittle 10¢, 6 box carton of matches was 19¢, and Alaskan pink salmon was 11¢.
