A time capsule from 1989 was opened during the Pickstown Veteran’s Day Program. Found in the capsule was a t-shirt, a preserved photograph, an excerpt the Wagner Post, and a Centennial Celebration flyer.
Northpoint Recreation Area and Fort Randall Creek Recreation Area were both recognized by the Great Service Star Program for their outstanding customer service.

The winner of the Lake Andes Volunteer Fire Department Monday Night Football contest was Bradley Dangel. The winner for week 9 was Jim Nelson.
Kenny Williams, who served in the U.S. Army from 19691972, was among the Veterans at the YST 2nd Annual Wacipi held at the Wagner Armory.
