Lake Andes Fish Days 2015 Queen Rebecca Lehmann and Lil Miss Fishy Alyza Rucktaeschel participated in the 115th Labor Day Parade.

Lake Andes locals, Cambria and Landon Ronfeldt participated in the Wagner Labor Day Pedal Pull.

The Lake Andes Health Care Center started remodeling the west wing of the facility for an Alzheimer/Dementia Memory Unit named “The Haven”.

Charles Mix County officials and the chairman of the Lake Andes and Wagner Ambulance Service formed the new ambulance district.

1995

Andes Central Eagles traveled to Bonesteel and took home the win with 32-30.

The Lake Andes Summer Recreation girls’ softball placed 5th in their league tournament in Dimock. Johnna Brooks was chosen most valuable player by her teammates.

Andes Central played the Corsica Comets football team with a final winning score of 42-14.

Tom and Janet Carda announced the arrival of their son. Rod and Ruth Bergin announced the arrival of their daughter. Robert and Bonita Solko announced their arrival of their daughter as well.

Charles Mix County Pork Days was held in Lake Andes. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Randy Vesely.

1975

Lake Andes Fireman took 1st place in Wagner’s Labor Day water fights. The firefighters were Tom Petrik, Bob Hrdlicka, and Lloyd Houseman. Ravinia women’s team took 1st place.

Laurie Nelson and Dwain Shay exchanged vows. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hruska. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Thompson.

55 YEARS AGO

1970

The Andes Central Eagles defeated the Springfield Trojans by a score of 21-6.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tiefenthaler. Mary Reeves and Kevin Coler exchanged vows.

60 YEARS AGO

1965

The extra points scored by Dan Gorman gave the Lake Andes Eagles their first victory of the season 19-18 over the Corsica Comets.
