Pump’r Niks celebrated 20 years of business. The business opened in August of 1985. Tim Whalen purchased the business in 2002.

G.F. Buche Co. received Family-Owned Small Business of the Year award.

Tim Medicine Horn Jr. placed fourth in the International Pedal Pull Competition in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada.

Clif Kayl and Lori Kniffen were united in marriage.

A retirement party was held for Marilyn Larson. Marilyn worked for Northwestern Public Service for 26 years.

Andes Central won over Montrose-Canistota. Matt Hoilien scored on a three-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter making the final score 38-6.

Adults may purchase season activity passes for all home athletic events for $20.00.

Chairman Deborah J. Dvorak graduated from the U.S. Air Force medical services specialist course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas.

The1980 season for the Central Charles Mix softball league had come to an end, with Big Jake’s placing 1st for the third year in a row.

Lake Andes Poormans won the first game in the South Dakota amateur baseball tournament.

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pipes were proud to announce the birth of their daughter.

The Randall Valley Speedway had an estimated crowd of 1,700.
