2015
The South Dakota Army National Guard Detachment 1, 155th Engineer Company held a Community Recognition Ceremony at the Wagner High School Gym.
Many were in attendance and participation for the 2015 Charles Mix County 4-H Achievement Days as results were announced.
The library Summer Reading Program concluded with a pool party and pizza at the city pool. Participants also got the chance to draw for prizes if they read a certain number of pages or minutes.

2005
The town of Ravinia received a $8,500 grant that was used for engineering fees to lift station and lagoon repairs for the community’s system. The grant was approved by the South Central Water Development District board of directors.
The Yankton Sioux general election was set to begin soon.

The Army Corps of Engineers released water from the big spillway after 20 years since it was last opened.
Janine Boetel and Barry Van Osdel announced their engagement.

The Ravinia Boars were the league tournament champions in softball.

Jean Payer received a scholarship from the Free Masons.

Subscriptions to the Wave were priced at $6.00 in state and $7.00 elsewhere.
Kyle Evans 7 Co. played at the Moonlit Ballroom, Rest Haven.
A hailstorm did considerable damage around the area. Mavis Bartunek and Larry Yoakum united in marriage.
