2015

The Andes Central School District Class of 2015 graduation was held. Nathan Herrold, Tyrone Flying Hawk, Angus Haan, Tristen LaPointe, Payton Johanneson, Ashley Kirkpatrick, Jason Drapeaux, Tearnie Stotz, Rebecca Lehman, Reno Longe, Haley Cournoyer, Cybil Chytka, Brooke Deurmier and Joana Rouse were the 14 graduating seniors.

Brooklyn Brouwer and Erica Kitchenmaster both qualified for the state track meet in the 200m dash. Brouwer with a time of 26.73 at the AC/DC Invitational and Kitchenmaster with a time of 26.99 at the LMVC meet.

2005

Graduation for the Class of 2005 was held at the Andes Central High School Gymnasium. Seniors: William Bennett, Kelsey Cavender, Jonathan Antelope, Jayette Cavender, Brooks Chasing Hawk, Lauren Crowe, Michael Fast Horse, Katherine Gall, Evelyn Fast Horse, Jacob Flying Hawk, Casey Gau, Santana Gravatt, Charlotte Pesicka, Logan Svatos, Harry Medicine Bear, Brandon Thin Elk and Phillip Wartemann. Class Motto: “I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I intended to be.” Their Class Flower was a red rose, and their Class Colors were navy, cardinal and silver.

1995

Graduates of the Class of 1995 included; Cindy Anderson, Evelyn Archambeau, Brian Braun, Mandy Bures, Patricia Evans, Kiwi Kellogg, Wesley Kelly, Tonya Kiyukan, Dustin Longe, Yolanda Medicine Horn, Jeremy Novotny, Katherine Ronfeldt, Troy Siemonsma, Robert Simmermon, Randy Smith, Denise Stowells, Norene Dvorak Sutton, Joshua Svatos, Sarah Thomson, Aaron Troyer. Class Motto 'To achieve great things we must live as though we were never going to die.' Their Class Flower was a rose, and their Class Colors were regal blue, marvel black and silver.

The level of Lake Francis Case, behind Ft. Randall Dam in Pickstown is the highest it’s ever been. The level was at 367.45 ft. above sea level breaking the old record of 1366.7 set in 1967. The normal level of Lake Frances Case is 1356 ft.

1985

Louise Schrank celebrated her 100th birthday May 19th.

Mr. and Mrs. Guy Brown celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary May 18th.

Thirty seniors graduated from Andes Central High School. Lake Andes Health Care Center held an 10th Anniversary open house.

Eight boys and give girls qualified for State Track. Melissa Boetel, Kim Miller, Jodi Pipes, Stef Thomas and Susan Carda; Robert Kniffen, Todd Gasper, CJ Jones, Jason Drapeaux, Bryan Carlson, Randy Sellers, Matt Weeg, and Tom Durham.

Miss Daylene Rae Newman has been selected to be a state finalist in the 1980 Miss United Teenager Pageant.

1960

Captain 11 was at Erickson Clothing. On every purchase there was a discount of 11% in honor of his visit.
