The Wagner American legion Greer Post #11 and Auxiliary traveled to Parker for the Department of South Dakota Spring Meeting.
VFW held a pancake dinner for the public. Derek Soukup was selected for SD All State Boys Basketball.

The Wagner FFA chapter has had an outstanding year. They attended three district contest in preparation for the state FFA convention April 17 to the 19.
Wagner eighth grade students are being given the chance to earn high school credit and begin planning for their future through the Job Ready Program being offered this summer.

“Rosie Flute Day” was proclaimed at the Wagner Good Samaritan Center in recognition of Rosie’s 25th anniversary at the center.
Marguerite Mullen was chosen 1995 volunteer of the Year at the Wagner Good Samaritan Center. Ja Von Ehirsman, Al Fechner and Bonnie Novak were among those honored for their many hours of volunteer work at the Center.

Greg Stedronsky was the recipient of the Amdahl Scholarship at Brookings.
Setting a new record in the 880 relay at the Missouri Valley Conference were Wagner Raiders, Piper Wiechmann, Paige Wipf, Brenda Koupal and Pam Weber.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Dale Link.

Georgian Strom was chosen to represent Wagner at Girls State.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rezac. Connie Kostel played the lead part in a musical comedy at Creighton University.
A farewell picinic was held for Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bren who were moving to Yankton.

A fire destroyed 20 tons of Carl Denker’s hay.
Marriage licenses were issued to Theodore Blaine and Eunice Standish and to Ray E Drappeau and Josette C. Vaughen.
Wagner’s new mayor was Pat Connor. Appointed officers were Gerald Halstead, City Auditor, B. V. Morgan, Treasurer, N. T. Budsmore, night watch and janitor of library, and Ray McCabe, street commissioner.
