2015

Army Warrant Officer Kenneth Podzimek received the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award in a ceremony at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Robert Kokesh was to celebrate his 3rd place finish in the Division 1 NCAA National Wrestling Tournament at Gordo’s. He finished the season with a 39-1 record.

The Wagner AAU wrestler ended their season at the state tournament with two state champions and twelve state place winners. The two who won state championship titles were Steven Peters III in the 53-pound tot division and Jace Johnson in the 220-pound division.

The Wagner participant in the boys and girls annual East-West Shoot-out was Derek Soukup. He played for the East and they won 85-75.

2005

The construction of Highway 50 was just getting started.

Zach Thaler and Jen Roth announced their engagement. Margaret Boesen and Charles Stastny announced their engagement.

Wagner high school students presented the school play, “The Envelope Please”.

Pancake Day at Heritage Court was well attended with pancakes covering the whole plate.

1995

Mary Helen Stastny and Douglas Alan Hahne announced their engagement.

Bishop Paul V Dudley resigned as Bishop of the Sioux Falls Diocese and returned to Archdiocese of Saint Paul in Minnesota.

60 YEARS AGO

1965

Mr. and Mrs. Orville Woods moved into the residence vacated by Clarence Weber. Clarence Weber moved to South Sioux City, NE.

Several surplus buildings including five duplex dwellings in Pickstown were being offered for sale by the US Army Corps of Engr.

Anna Whetham was honored on her 85th birthday. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rodenbur. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ron Wiblemo.

70 YEARS AGO

1955

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Beck. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pelton. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Norman Ehrisman.

1933

Goldie Sell and John W. Solomon exchanged vows.

Marvin Schnose, Kendall, Gene and Donald Rehwaldt, Jennie and George Kuhlman, and Roy Cavier enjoyed a horseback party and afterwards stopped at the George Kuhlman residence for a social game of cards.

The children at Rhohla school Ree #3 had a farewell party for theirteacher,Mrs.AdolphEhrismanwhoresignedherposition.

Miss Anne Johnson was honored at a prenuptial miscellaneous shower.

A son, Charles Cecil was born to Mr. and Mrs. Cecil James.
