The Wagner Chamber of Commerce celebrated the Fort Randall Casino’s restaurant renovation.
Lawrence “JR” Kiyukan was named the South Dakota State Dart Champion in the singles bracket in Division “I”.
A card shower was requested in honor of Javon Ehrismann’s 90th Birthday on March 13th.
Miles Burnhenn of the Charles-Mix County Sheriff’s department was amongst 44 to graduate from the South Dakota Law Enforcement Academy.
Mieke Slaba’s 7th and 8th graders experienced a book buffet with Wagner School Librarian Brenda DeHaan.
The Catholic Church Alter Society served the Fellowship Feast meal this month.
The gymnastics team held their awards night. Jensen Holzbaur received Most Improved; Rachel Dion received Most Dedicated and Hannah Fleming received Most Valuable Gymnast. Chelsey Hisek and Hannah Fleming were named Academic All State.

2005
Deactivation ceremonies were held for the 153rd EN BN Company A at the Wagner Community School. SPT Greg Darlow gave a re-cap of the long mission of the 153rd’s service in Iraq.
The Wagner Red Raider Wrestling team brought home seventh place honors from the State Tournament in Aberdeen.
The Raider wrestlers completed their season at the South Dakota State B Wrestling Tournament in Aberdeen. The Raiders placed six individuals and took home 7th place team honors.
The Wagner Red Raiders boys’ basketball team claimed the District 9 A Championship in Parkston March 3rd. This was the first District title that the Red Raider boys had won since 1988. The Red Raiders were state competitors in 1974. The Red Raiders took on the Platte Black Panthers March 7th for the Region 5A title and were defeated by a 65-47 score.

Dan Swatek received his second state win in the State Wrestling Tournament.
Elsie Bromert was named 1995 Employee of the Year at the Wagner Good Samaritan Center.
Burnell Sip was President of AARP. The Bullock-Boynton building just south of Commercial State Bank was torn down to make way for the expansion of Commercial State Bank.
Randy Thaler was Charles-Mix County’s newest Deputy Sheriff.

Marilyn Bures and Greg Markey announced their engagement.
James Johannsen was accepted into membership of the American Hereford Association.
Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Winkler celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Luke.
