2015

Parents’ night was held, honoring seniors Brooke Deurmier, Rebecca Lehmann, Cybil Chytka, Tearanie Stotz, Jason Drapeaux, and Tyrone Flying Hawk.

Winners of the Andes Central elementary spelling bee were Rory Kiyukan, Analeigha Antelope, Riata Bultje, Brooke Reddest, Nolan Black Cloud, and Avery Schacht.

20 YEARS AGO

2005

Tonya Ann Hazuka and Travis E. Schuldt were united in marriage.

Tom Petrik received a parting gift from Alvin Van Zee in appreciation for his 26 years of service to the Randall Community Water District. Tom retired in the spring.

30 YEARS AGO

1995

Mandy Bures, daughter of Ernie Ray and Debbie Bures, was the first runner up at the Military Ball.

The Andes Central Eagles put together a real team effort against Wagner, coming out on top 62-51.

40 YEARS AGO

1985

Six Eagle wrestlers competed in the Region wrestling tournament in Kimball with one grappler, Darrel Dion, winning an advance to the State Tournament in Sioux Falls.

Kelly Doty and David Salveson exchanged vows February 9th.

50 YEARS AGO

1975

A fire destroyed a granary on Tony Kisely’s farm.

ACHS students traveled to Kimball to the Region Musical contest. Superior ratings were awarded to Jan Schmidt, Nancy Gall, Jean Barkley, and Kenny Martinec. Excellent ratings were received by Sally Winter, Elizabeth Laberee, Tammy Soulek, Deb Martinec, and Ricky Kingan.

Roxanne Adam, a senior at Andes Central earned a spot to compete in the state oratorical contest held in Waubay.

60 YEARS AGO

1965

Mr. and Mrs. William McCabe celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on February 14.

David Robbins and Kathleen Jones exchanged vows on February 14.

70 YEARS AGO

1955

The Lake Andes Eagles defeated Geddes 62-50 and Delmont 5344. Ken Hill was high scorer for both games followed by Mathisen, Kniffen, Carda, and Gibbs.
