Andes Central boys’ basketball edged Sunshine Bible 6865. Both Blake Bertram and Eric Olson had big games with season highs of 30 points and 26 points.

BJ Longe broke Andes Central’s school record in wrestling for career wins of 128; the old record was 127.

Mark Nelson, son of Ken and Judith Nelson of Lake Andes, was a member of the 1994-1995 NCTA Men’s Basketball team. Navy Petty Officer 2nd class, Richard G. Herrold, son of George and Karen Herrold of Lake Andes, had recently departed for a six month overseas deployment with the guided missile cruiser USS Cape St George, as part of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Battle Group.

Tony W. Soulek and Della Mae (Teeslink) Soulek celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary January 20.
