BJ Longe broke Andes Central’s school record in wrestling for career wins of 128; the old record was 127.

Mark Nelson, son of Ken and Judith Nelson of Lake Andes, was a member of the 1994-1995 NCTA Men’s Basketball team. Navy Petty Officer 2nd class, Richard G. Herrold, son of George and Karen Herrold of Lake Andes, had recently departed for a six month overseas deployment with the guided missile cruiser USS Cape St George, as part of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Battle Group.
