Several Andes Central students job shadowed Dr. Cati Beaty D.V.M. with Lakeview Veterinary Clinic as part of a shadowing program organized by Mitchell Area Development Cooperation.
The Wave had a reprint of an article about Wagner Police Chief Tim Simonsen and Yankton Sioux Tribal Police Chief Chris Saunsoci; it was about their strong working relationship when dealing with crimes committed in one jurisdiction, and the offender hiding out in the other’s jurisdiction.
The Charles-Mix 4-H shooting sports program was set to start on December 28th at the 4H center in Lake Andes.

Andes Central Eagles boys’ basketball topped Colome 54-47.
The Andes Central Eagle wrestlers faced Scotland- Menno in their season opener at home. Greg Nielson was the standout for the Eagle team with the lone pin as Scotland took the win.
40 Years Ago – 1984
Verlyn and Alona Ebright celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary December 15th.
Edgar Dumdei and Robert J. Peshek retired from the Corps of Engineers.
50 Years Ago – 1974
Eagles won over Armour 58-51. Dan Pipes scored 18 points. Joe Kelley and Ken Carda made 10 tallies each. The B game ended with a score of 45-42.

Lake Andes boys’ basketball won over Bristol 49-40.
The Pickstown Engineers nipped the Andes Eagles 5150 in overtime.

The senior class elected Walter Houseman as cheerleader for the basketball season. The junior class elected Harold Jerman as cheerleader for the basketball season.
The girls’ basketball team defeated Fairfax 30-20.
