The “Dig Pink” night for the Eagles had the Andes Central volleyball team playing against the Wagner Red Raiders.

Modern Woodman Junior Club members donated books to the L.A.K.E after school program. Members included Nichole Dvorak, Marcia Dvorak, Christopher Dvorak, and Bobbi Wentland.
Andes Veterinary Clinic is in the process of adding onto their present building located on SD Hwy 50.
The Lady Eagle Junior Varsity secured two more wins against Armour and Burke on their way to a successful season.

The Mule Lip re-opened with new managers, Tim and Stella Harmes.
Bob Hruska was named to the “Winners Circle” as one of the top dealers for Dekalb Genetics Corporation.

Ann Vesely was named the new Post Mistress of the Lake Andes Post Office.
Stephanie Sejnoha was named 1st runner up in the Miss South Dakota Teen USA, her sister Valerie was named Miss Photogenetic.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Bucholz announced the birth of their daughter Jeri Ann, October 31st.
50 Years Ago – 1974

The football season cheerleaders are Donna Dean, Rita Solko, Connie Nelson, Kristy Johnson, and Mary Beth Hakl.

The Lake Andes Eagles downed the Colome Cowboys 20-7; Mick Anderson, Jack Mead and Brian Koenig were strong defenders for the win.
70 Years Ago – 1954
The Presbyterian Bazaar was held October 25th. Adults were $1.00 and children 50¢.
Pete’s Café and Service is under new management, Dick and Vivian Armstrong. They held an open house on October 30th.
80 Years Ago – 1944
The high school girls’ basketball team started off the season, defeating Avon 35-8. Players are Mary Holden, Burdella Assmus, Alice Nichols, Mae Austin, Edith McBride,FernStafford,Rudy Tipton, Kathryn Cassidy, and Violet Linnell.
