Leona Mead resigned as Clerk of Courts after working thirty-two years in county government.
John Stone placed third in the USA National Wrestling Tournament held in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
Harold Cheesman of Omaha, NE caught a 52-pound flathead catfish when he was trolling for walleyes in the North Point Bay area. The flathead was 44 5/16 inches long and 33 ½ inches around. The flathead beat the old state record by 2 ½ pounds.
Jane Kaltsulas and Bruce Stedronsky were married.
50 Years Ago – 1974
Max and Marjorie Jeffords have taken over as managers of the Circle H Model.
