Avon School will be opening on August 14, 2024. Any new students and preschool enrollment applications should register as soon as possible. Please contact Julie Mudder at the business office at 605-286-3291 x 114. The transition into middle school and high school can be overwhelming and challenging. We have scheduled an Orientation for students entering grades 6 and 9. We request attendance of all students and parents/guardians to an informational meeting in the gym. The agenda will include requirements and information necessary for educational success. If you are unable to attend these orientation meetings, please contact Lindsey Fathke at 605-286-3291 ext. 110. Grade 6 Orientation, Thursday, August 8, 6:00 pm Grade 9 Orientation, Thursday, August 8, 6:45 pm Elementary (preschool) through Grade 5 Open House at Avon School will be held on Tuesday, August 13. Students and parents may stop and meet the classroom teacher and bring school supplies. Please limit session to 15 minutes. Families will enter the building by last name. Families will enter the building through the southwest main entrance and exit through the northwest doors. See Schedule below.

Students will be receiving and logging into their computers and connect to all their Google classrooms. Parents are also welcome to attend and connect to Google classroom. Students will also be receiving locker assignments and may bring in their locker shelves and supplies. Sessions are limited to 15-25 minutes. Avon School Mandatory Sports/Activity Meeting A MANDATORY Sports/Activity Meeting is scheduled on Thursday, August 8, 7:30 pm, in the main gym. All participants entering grades 5-12 are required to attend along with one parent/guardian. If you have any questions, please contact Avon School.
