Each year, for our Dig Pink match, an individual is chosen to be honored and have their name put on the traveling trophy. This year Wagner Volleyball chose to honor Mary Merkwan who has fought the battle of breast cancer three times in her lifetime. In addition, every other year the two teams host and raise money for their local cancer foundations. This year Wagner hosted, and we sold Crumble cookies, T-shirt sales with Lavender Lane, serving games with prizes donated by Booms and Casey’s, and a 50/50 drawing with all proceeds going to Wagner Cancer Foundation. Total funds raised this year were $1,639.65! That is a record for Wagner volleyball. We appreciate everyone who donated, helped sell and for all your support to such a wonderful cause!
