NEW STYLIST AT TOWN & COUNTRY SALON

By

Starting on November 4th, Town and Country Beauty Salon has a new stylist in its midst. Chantal Zephier, a fiveyear licensed cosmetologist, is joining the team. Chantal received her cosmetology certification from the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute as well as learned to be a lash stylist at Amazing Lash both of Seattle, WA. Since 2020, she has been styling hair independently as well as working in childcare.

The services that Chantal specializes in are long layered haircuts, blowouts, bobs and working on textured hair. At Town and Country, she will be offering services including hair cutting, coloring, styling, perming and waxing. What Chantal enjoys the most about being a cosmetologist are cutting hair and helping clients learn more about their hair type so that they can leave the salon better informed about how to care for their hair. Another aspect of her work that she truly enjoys is being able to cut and style client’s hair so that they feel confident not only while in her chair, but when they leave the salon. One of her hairstyling passions is to do fashion coloring/vivid coloring which provides her clients who want that type of coloring a more alternative look to better express themselves.

When asked why she wanted to study cosmetology as her career, Chantal said that she chose it so that she would be able to show her own creativity while building connections with people and helping them feel both good and confident about themselves. It also allows her to make a look that she or her client has imagined, come to life. Before enrolling in cosmetology, she had wanted to learn about the beauty industry and to be able to do her own hair and now she enjoys having the ability to do the same for others.

Chantal was born in Bremerton, WA, but was raised in the Wagner area. She moved back to Wagner because she was missing home and was looking to reconnect with not only her family, but herself. Chantal is also hoping to learn more culturally about herself now that she is home. She feels that she is now at an age and good place in her life to where she can give back to the community in a positive way. She is happy to have returned to Wagner, as she missed the small-town feel, being close to the river and liv-ing in a walkable community.

What she is most looking forward to as she starts her career in Wagner are meeting new people in the community, seeing familiar faces, learning from other stylists and offering Wagner some different ways of hair styling and coloring. Chantal is constantly watching hair content online that is aimed at cutting, coloring and or styling. She enjoys being able to learn from other stylists online who are willing to share their work and ideas in order for her to be able to offer different techniques to her clients.

Some of Chantal’s hobbies include listening to music, going to concerts, crocheting, walking, spending time with family, baking, cooking, being out in nature, trying new foods, learning more about the world, yoga and meditation.

Welcome home to Wagner. We are excited to see your styles and techniques walk out of the Town and Country Beauty Salon.
