Starting January 29th, a new face can be seen styling at the Town and Country salon in Wagner. Nicki Sandven is a new addition to the salon and has been a hair stylist for the past ten years. She attended cosmetology school at Headlines Academy of Cosmetology & Massage in Rapid City. Nicki’s past experience includes working as a Core Specialist at the Paul Mitchell School, stylist at Hair It Is Again, stylist at Focus on You Beauty Spa and stylist at Belle Boutique & Salon.
Nicki will be providing all services that the salon offers. She really enjoys cutting hair, especially doing men’s cuts. Cutting men’s hair and haircutting in general is what she enjoys most about being a stylist. When asked what made her want to become a stylist in the first place, Nicki said that growing up she had an aunt who was an amazing stylist that she would watch. Watching her aunt, inspired her to become a stylist.
Nicki and her husband, Darrin, and their three children, Taylor, Carter and Spencer wanted to move to a small town. Luckily, they found the perfect home for their family in Avon and relocated to the area. The family is still very new to the area having only moved here the end of November and is still exploring and getting used to the area. Nicki is looking forward to most while working at Town and Country, meeting new people and helping them look and feel great.
Nicki continues to keep up with the latest styling trends and techniques. She is always trying to learn. She watches a lot of YouTube and Suplex Houses hairstyling classes, where she finds great classes and takes advantage of learning from them as often as she can.
The Sandven’s resided in Hill City before moving to Avon. When Nicki is not working or busy with her children, she enjoys shopping, watching tv, spending time with friends and family and journaling.
Welcome to the Wagner community, Nicki!
