Every year the Avon Music Department puts on a tailgate supper at one of the home football games to raise money for the school year. This year the tailgate will be October 1. It will run from 5 to 7 p.m. when the team takes on Colome. They will be serving loaded baked potatoes, taverns, desserts, and drinks in the small white shed south of the concession stand at the field.

"Thanks to every student and parent that provided items to make this tailgate a success. We run strictly off of volunteer choir and band students, and we are always so grateful for the help!” Mrs. Autumn Schultz, the music teacher, said. “Each year this money goes to pay for a majority of the Senior Music Trip and any other adventures we take our Music Department students on. Thank you to the community for your support. We hope to see you all out there for some delicious food! Go Pirates!"
