MIS Administration teamed up with Alan Blackburn and the Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board out of Rapid City, to create Charles Mix County’s first CERT team, a FEMA certified disaster response team. Brenna Lanoue, Kathi Sharp and John Frazier, from the GPTLHB came to join forces with Alan Blackburn, Matthew Campbell Jr., Lake Andes Fire Chief Rod Bergin and firefighter Robbin to train, certify, and swear in the MIS Cert Team. The MIS CERT team will continue training regularly in disaster first aid, disaster psychology, light search and rescue, light fire suppression, and team organization. Courtesy Photos
