MILLS RETIRES FROM WCS

By
Alyssa Mathis

Sandy Mills has been a part of the Wagner Community School staff for the past 27 years, beginning her WCS career in 1997. Sandy has been a part of the food service team as a dishwasher and server. Sandy has decided that as the 2023-2024 school year comes to a close, so does her time at WCS. She is officially retiring. Sandy decided that it was time to retire in order to be able to help her mom.

What Sandy is looking forward to most about retiring is being able to spend more time with her mom and children. She has plenty of activities in mind to keep her busy after retiring including traveling, doing diamond art work and bead work-ing. She and her husband, John will be moving to Mitchell in order to be closer to family. The WCS staff have become like a family to Sandy and the students she gets to see every day is what she has enjoyed the most during her 27 years. She will miss the friends that she has made, the staff, and the students, especially Paul, a student that Sandy talked with every day.

Sandy is married to her husband, John. She has four daughters Priscilla, Shelly, Irene and Connie and one son, Doug. In her free time, Sandy enjoys creating Diamond Art work, reading The Bible and taking care of her three dogs Kremer, Ozzy and Shera.

Congratulations on your well- deserved retirement. Thank you, Sandy, for all your years of dedication and service to the staff and students at WCS.
