MILLER RETIRES FROM ANDES CENTRAL

Jackie Miller has officially retired from the Andes Central School District after teaching there for the past 34 years. Her love of children is what kept her working for the district so long. While at Andes Central, she worked many different teaching positions, but her most recent position was as a 4th grade teacher. The only other school that Jackie has taught at besides Andes Central was her first job at St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain.

She decided that it was time to retire and begin a new chapter in her life. She celebrated her retirement with a personal celebration surrounded by her family and friends. Now that she has officially retired, she looks forward to getting to spend more time with her children, grandchildren and family. In her retirement, she plans on attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, going fishing and doing some of her other favorite hobbies.

Even though she has retired, Jackie plans on staying in Lake Andes. She is originally from North Dakota and travels home for a visit every summer. Her son resides in Jefferson, while her daughter and grandchildren live in Lake Andes. Jackie’s hobbies include boating, fishing and attending family gatherings.

Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement, Jackie!
