When a middle school student wins the student of the month, they get $5 Chamber Bucks from Avon Community Bank, a Gift certificate for a burger and a drink from Tolsma’s Cove, Avon Pirate gear from Cahoy’s service, concessions stand ticket from Mrs. Swier, and a Student of the Month yard sign from the Avon Booster Club.

Alexis Vanderlei

November student of the month was Alexis Vanderlei. Her age is 13 and she is in the eighth grade. She is the daughter of Amy and Graig Vanderlei. Her siblings include Grace, Lila, Bree, and Jon. Alexis' favorite pastime is to sleep or play basketball. She likes history because she likes to learn new things about events that have happened. She has a dog named Daisy and seven cats with no names. School has taught her to be strong. Her favorite part of her day is when she goes home or to sports’ practices.

Jake Namminga

December student of the month was Jake Namminga. His age is 13, and he is in the seventh grade. He is the son of Joel and Elizabeth Namminga. His siblings include Joe, James, Johanna, and Ally. Jake’s favorite pastime is watching tik toks and sending his friend's funny memes. His favorite subject is computers because Mr. Poppe teaches them how to use them. He has two weiner dogs named LoLo and Peanut. School has taught him to be a better student and respect others. His favorite part of his day is study hall because it gives him time to do his homework.
