Come one, Come all! Everyone is invited to the 2024 Fish Days “Circus” celebration May 31, June 1 & 2! Bring your family and friends for three days of fun, rides & attractions! One of Fish Day’s biggest events is the Mr. Carp & Ms. Bullhead contest and ready to compete for the 2024 titles are this year’s candidates. In order for them to achieve this honor, they need your help! Vote for your favorite candidate by tossing some money in their bucket. They will be seen at various events during Fish Days and may have buckets at local businesses. The candidates who raise the most money will be crowned Mr. Carp & Ms. Bullhead Saturday night during the street dance! Your contribution helps pay for the Fish Days events we all love to attend, so please participate in the tradition!

Mr. Carp Candidates

When Cliffie Johnson witnessed Hayden Stluka get crowned Mr. Carp last year, he was eager to accept this challenge! Cliffie is confident that not only will he win this year’s competition, but he can beat Hayden’s final loot. When he was asked what his strategy is, he said “Mr. Carp is part of the greatest shows on earth, so everyone will be excited to cast their vote! I will have no problem gathering all of the votes for me since I am the star of this show!”

Cole Bergin has been dreaming about his chance to become Mr.Carp since he was just a kid and won a tractor at the pedal pull! Cole plans to drive a big tractor all around town in order to haul all the buckets he needs to take home the crown. He will surely have enough to bring in the big win!

When Bradley Dangel was approached about running for Mr. Carp, he told us he has been practicing all year for his chance! He figures he would show all of his animals and everyone will come to him to see them. He will have enough money to surpass his competition in no time!

Ms. Bullhead Candidates

Aubrey Gray also has been dreaming about her chance to kiss the fish since she was won Lil Miss Fishy in 2013! She has already informed her family & friends of her designer buckets & t-shirts so she will attract all of the funds she will need! She will have them filled just in time for her picture with the crown!

Joy Wenzlaff has been scoping out her competition since she found out she was a candidate! During the Fish Day events, she plans to have her little helpers bring on their charm for a little extra help! Joy is coming with some tough competition and will surely have all of her buckets full for Saturday night’s crowning!

Queen of the Stluka household, Tabitha Stluka, said “I got this!” Tabitha plans to capture all her votes by cruising all around town with her buckets yelling “Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Vote for me to win the crown, the best Ms.Bullhead candidate in town!” She knows she will have enough votes by the street dance to be crowned the first Stluka Ms. Bullhead!

If you are lucky enough to be chosen for this prestigious honor for Fish Days (or just simply volunteer yourself), you would be helping Lake Andes carry on the tradition of providing a fun filled weekend.
