The Marty Indian School Superintendent, teamed up with Alan Blackburn and the Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board out of Rapid City, to create Charles Mix County’s first CERT team, a FEMA certified disaster response team. Brenna Lanoue, Kathi Sharp and John Frazier, from the GPTLHB came to join forces with Alan Blackburn, Matthew Campbell Jr., Lake Andes Fire Chief Rod (last name) and firefighter Robbin (last name) to train, certify and swear in the MIS Cert Team.
