LSS is pleased to announce the expansion of its Older Adult Resource Network (OARN) into Hutchinson and Bon Homme Counties. The program supports adults aged 55+ and their caregivers in rural areas, helping them access essential resources and services that enable them to age comfortably at home. LSS created OARN with support from Lutheran Services in America in 2022 and to date, has successfully assisted over 120 older adults in Douglas and Charles Mix counties. To kickoff this expansion, LSS will host a series of community meetings in Bon Homme and Hutchinson Counties. The meetings are open to all – including older adults, caregivers, and people in the community who want to simply learn more about the program. The meetings will focus on how OARN connects qualifying individuals (anyone 55+ or caregivers in one of the four counties) to services at no cost. LSS encourages people to attend a meeting in their community, but if the day and time do not work, people are welcome to attend any of the sessions. Coffee and donuts will be provided at each meeting. Meeting Schedule:
· March 31, 10am, Tripp City Hall
· April 7, 10am, Boog’s in Parkston
· April 15, 10am, Rooster’s in Menno
· April 30, 1pm, Freeman Senior Center
· May 5, 10am, Avon Fire Hall
· May 19, 10am, Recreation in Scotland
