Mrs. Clayton Crosby and Mrs. Walter Smith were hostesses to 50 ladies from the First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday.
Two exciting burro ball games were played at the local ball field. 11 burros were used in the kitten ball game.

The Avon Mets won their game of Tyndall. The Mets had 13 hits led by Westling and Liveris.
Sportsmen reported good catches below the Fort Randall Dam.

Avon was host to the Swim Meet on June 24 and traveled to Wagner on June 28th.
About 60 ladies gathered at the Danzig Church for Guest Night on June 19th.
The Little girl's softball team won 20-2 over Menno. The hitters were Sarah Knudson, Jennifer Winckler and Amy Bechtold. They also beat Tyndall 9-8
The Pee Wees lost 7-6 to Scotland. Travis Rauch did the pitching. The Midgets also lost 17-14 with Matt Eggers Pitching.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Sattler celebrated their 50th wedding Anniversary with an open house at the Avon gym.
