Fan of the Year awards were given to Terry and Monica Schultz and Ella Pudwill at the Activities Banquet. Hod Neilson was the guest speaker.
Lowell and Goldie Clark opened the old rancho Café on Main Street on April 2nd.
Ron's winners in the drawing were: Velda Voigt for $25, Elsie Johnson for $10 and Joanne Freidel for $5.
The First Pres. Church hosted the joint youth Easter Sunrise service and breakfast. The guest speaker was David Bambas.
The Easter Egg Hunt was held Saturday at the park.

The young alumni defeated the Varsity 74-40. Dean Merkwan had 32 points and Jim Christians had 20.
The Old alumni was shipped 75-53 by the area coaches. Coach Dennis Bies of Tabor had 26 and Avon's coach Liveris had 24 "lucky" points. Old alumni Roger Mudder had 13 and Lyle Johnson had 11.
A Girl's track team has been added this year.
Bob Deming has been named Avon Mets new manager replacing Clayton Fillaus who asked to be relieved of his duties.
The Avon Community Cantata presented its 25th performance on Palm Sunday. Iro Mogen was the director of "Olivet to Calvary".
New members confirmed at the First Pres. Church on Palm Sun day were: Karen Johnson, Linda Luke, Barbara Powers, Vicki Marek, Robert Hubner, Richard Cihak, Jeff Curl, Dennis Olsen and Craig Boese.

A one inch snowfall fell Friday to halt a dust storm. The dust halted traffic on highways. The temperature dropped from 80 degrees to below freezing at 24 degrees in a few hours. March 15 may go down in history.

Miss Katerine Hebner of Daisy School has the largest enrollment (46 students and all eight grades) of any rural teacher in the county.
Ted Steckler's Pool Room in Ravinia is a success. He will soon move his family there.
