2nd Lt. Jack Weinhart in the Marines in Quantico, visited his parents, Ray Weinharts in Mitchell. He will now be stationed in North Carolina.

Erin Pier celebrated her 2nd birthday with little friends at her home.
Mrs. Robert Parker and girls returned to California after spending the holidays with her mother and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bertus have a new baby boy.
There was no school on Monday due to the cold weather.
The Avon Bards lost at Tabor 20-24. Some of the Bards fouled out and Tabor’s low ceiling and slick floor added to the defeat.
The girls have been playing basketball twice a week. They are preparing for the class tourneys.
Perfect attendance in Giedd School for the six weeks were: Eloise Hinman, Irma Pudwill and Margaret Pudwill.

Tiny Miss Lulu Lillian arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Del Graham. She weighed seven pounds and took charge of the establishment at once.
