4-H members learn life, leadership, social, and workforce skills that better prepare them for life after high school. By working with andlisteningtoyouth,South Dakota 4-H creates real opportunities for young people across our state, creating a space for learning, connecting, and belonging. We do this by bringing young people together from all different backgrounds, from the cities, the farms, and ranches, creating one 4-H family! We offer programs in agriculture, food and nutrition, health and wellness, leadership, communication, science, technology, outdoor recreation, arts, and more. Bon Homme County 4-H, part of South Dakota 4-H, brings the mission of 4-H to your local community through a partnership between SDSU Extension and Bon Homme County government. Last year, 130 youth participated in 4-H in our county. Some of the highlights from our year include our rabbit and poultry fun day, flower care class, cooking classes, horse judging and play day, the 4-H Fun 4 All for youth under 13 years old and the Jr. Leaders dance at Achievement Days.
