On Saturday, August 21, Clayton Wittmeier, along with Bob and Debbie Ruppelt traveled to Watertown and spent the evening with Karen and Larry Johnson. On Sunday, they all attended a Gelling family gathering at Scott and Mari Perrenoud's lake home near Spicer, MN. Others in attendance were Donna and Joe Larsen of Crooks, Willma Wissink of Canton and Tiena Zondervan of Willmar, MN. Several nieces and nephews of Clayton (and cousins of his daughters) were also there to celebrate and catch up on the family. Relatives came from Oregon, Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota.

Arlys Thompson attended a soccer game of her grandsons, Brady Thompson, last Tuesday in Brandon. It turned out to be a tie game between Brandon and Harrisburg.

Hayley Ridgway of Yankton was a weekend guest in the home of her grandmother, Reta Ridgway. They spent lots of fun time playing cards and games.

Todd Weber of Menno and his mother, Shirley Yonkers drove to Mitchell last Wednesday night where they visited their daughter and granddaughter, Nikki Weber, Jayce and Brecklynn and Derick Gunther.

Stuart Stather of Bongar, Maine was a visitor this past week in the home of his father, Jon and Lynn Stather. On Saturday, Stuart, Jon and Lynn drove to Yankton where they had supper with Jon's daughter, Susan, Scott and DaNeila Jensen of Gayville.

Randy and Barb Schroeder and Dillon, Jodi and Karsyn Cleary of Atkinson, Nebraska, Elaine Schroeder of Wagner, Ryan Schroeder, Becca and McCoy Jurgens of Brookings, Megan, Haverly and Henry Hayden of New Port, Nebraska, Brady and Shelly Poppe, Mel and Brenda Fathke, Chris, Nikki, Braylon, Zander and Kiera Fathke, and Lindsey, Dax and Addi Fathke were guests on Saturday in the home of their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Margaret Poppe. They celebrated Ryan's birthday.

Emma Yost of Wagner was a Saturday overnight guest in the home of her grandparents, Wally and Debbie Voigt.

Jon and Lynn Stather had lunch with her sister, Diane Ewing in Sioux Falls on Friday.
