Avon cheerleaders and Cheer Coach Becky Haenfler recently hosted the Little Pirates Cheer Camp on January 29. There were 48 little cheerleaders from grades preschool through eighth grade that attended camp.

The participants were separated into groups: preschool/kindergarten, first/second, third/fourth, and fifth through eighth. The groups learned their cheers and a dance from 9:30 till noon. The performance took place that evening at halftime of the girls basketball game against Kimball-White Lake.
