The Fish Days Celebration is complete and it is now time to begin the Summer Programming at the Lake Andes Carnegie Public Library. We will be having programming at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 Mondays thru Fridays each week for the months of June and July. Mondays will be Gardening, Tuesdays will be Crafts, Wednesdays will be “Universe of Stories”, Thursdays will be Food and Nutrition, and Fridays will be Coding. The week of June 10-14 will be Nasa Science week at the library. RSVP would be appreciated, but are not necessary.
“Reading to the Moon” is the theme of our summer reading program at the library. The distance to the moon from earth is 238,855 miles on average. The patrons at the library, young and old are asked to report their pages read to the library. Each page read will translate to 1 mile on our voyage to the moon. A display of the pages read will be on display at the library.
Those patrons who complete attendance at summer programming 50% of the time along with signing up and reading the number of pages deemed appropriate for their grade level will be eligible to attend the summer incentive program trip planned for August 10, 2019. Contact the library at 487-7572 for more information.
