Happy Thanksgiving! The library will be closed on Thursday and Friday the 27th and 28th for the Thanksgiving holiday. We will open on Saturday, the 29th.

The library is holding a couple of activities which you may be interested in participating in.

November 25th the library is participating in November Story Time. It is taking place at 4:00 at the library for children grades Pre-K thru 5th grade. The story book “Lou”, will be read to the children attending by two local volunteer firemen. Fun activities will follow.

Dec 1st at 5:00 concludes the Children’s Book Festival activity of reading any book read by the featured author Dave Pilkey. Books can be borrowed from the library or read while at the library. Each book read gives the reader a ticket for the drawing for a $25.00 Roblox card.

December 5th the library is sponsoring two activities in conjunction with the Holiday Celebration in Lake Andes. One of these activities is to complete a scavenger hunt for 6th-12th graders. Pick up scavenger list information on the 5th after school and have them handed in by 1:00 on Saturday, Dec. 6th. A $5.00 gift card to 1st 3 completers of the hunt is the incentive.

Also, on Friday, December 5th starting at 5:00 at the library will be a Porch Pot Party. There will also be sessions at 6:00 and 7:00. Registration is required and $10 holds your spot. A donation of nonperishable food items will be collected the night of the party, for local food pantries. The Lutheran Social Services Older Adult Resource Network has donated funding for the supplies for participants to complete their pot.
